If you are looking for rural seclusion , on a journey not only in space but in time, this could be the answer to your dreams: in the CASA you will find lovely surroundings, tranquility and a feeling of getting back to essentials. Only a very few Casas Rurales (country cottages) of this type remain in their original state on Tenerife. The CASA was built of rough stone from the surrounding fields in the early 20th Century. Its massive, unrendered , stone walls seem indestructible to this very day, and you are invited to enjoy its privileged location in the northwest of the Island, on a pine-covered mountain, in the midst of untouched Nature.
Rustic as the house may appear, it is comfortably equipped. In the last few years, the house has been painstakingly renovated and fitted out. At the same time, care has been taken to match the furnishings to the character of the building and to keep a uniform style. Thus you will find satellite TV, a stereo system, and a modern kitchen with a fridge, a coffee-maker and a washing machine. All the same, all the furnishings and decorations have been selected in keeping with the house's rough-hewn stone.
On coming into the house, you enter a spacious area, which is divided into a kitchen and a living room. The unobtrusive fitted kitchen in light-coloured wood includes a 4-burner gas cooker, a sink, a fridge with freezer compartment, toaster and coffee-maker. Plenty of cooking utensils, dishes and cutlery for four people are available. The oval dining table in the centre of the room has room and to spare for four diners.
The living area, with a tasteful wooden sideboard, a generous semi-circular sofa with coffee table and a fireplace, coaxes guests to enjoy a cosy chat , listen to music or to watch TV (foreign language channels available). On cool days and nights, the central heating maintains a pleasant room temperature.
The bathroom, finished in pale apricot, is reached via a small hallway. As well as the terracotta tiling, the bathroom walls are finished in natural stone, and emphasise the country charm of the building. The bathroom has a semicircular shower cabin, washbasin, bidet, and WC, and is supplied with plentiful towels and hygiene products.
Two separate bedrooms provide space for up to four guests. Both bedrooms are equipped with wooden furniture, large mirrors and two single beds which can be pushed together if necessary. Best-quality mattresses guarantee a good night's sleep. The decorative element of natural stone found all over the house forms part of the unrendered walls in these rooms, too.
The first of the two bedrooms is finished in Bordeaux red and is on the lower floor. A captivating detail is the striking natural wooden roof beams , as well as the intricate puzzle of the parquet flooring. A door leads off to a small terrace with a corner seat. On a sunny afternoon, there is no better place to enjoy the views over the vineyards.
Climbing up the spiral staircase, and by way of a yellow-painted corridor, decorated with landscapes, one arrives at the second bedroom, finished in azure blue. On one side, the views are visible through two windows, on the other, through a sliding glass door which leads to a sizeable balcony facing the morning sun. The light floods the room from both sides. From the balcony, a picturesque view opens up: from the pine-clad valley, right down to the sea. On clear days, you may be lucky enough to see Mount Teide.
The CASA , being a country house , naturally has a forecourt and a garden. There is easy parking in the yard. The garden is laid out with vine-clad pergolas . A quaint wooden bench offers the perfect spot to relax outdoors, while two swings await younger guests. In the garden, bougainvillea, cherry and apple trees bloom, and on the slopes all around , the vines.
The CASA is located at 800 metres above sea level, above the little village of Redondo, in the green countryside of Tenerife's northwest district. The impressive views of Teide, the closeness to the mountains and the sensation of being surrounded by Mother Nature are what makes this location so magical. This area has been completely by-passed by mass tourism and has retained a traditional way of life that in many other areas has practically died out.
Nowadays the villagers of Redondo are few, and most of them visit their rural homes only at weekends or in the holidays. Seclusion, idyllic quiet and repose are guaranteed. A small, whitewashed church from the 19th C. serves to remind us of the traditions: Catholic Mass is held here every Saturday.
In the supermarket in the next village, you can find everything for your everyday needs, and of course, the latest news and gossip! In the local Cafeteria , you can have a Cafecito, a small black coffee to keep you going, and both local restaurants tempt you with local Canary cooking (fresh, grilled fish or rabbit in spicy sauce with Papas Arrugadas. the local potatoes boiled in sea-water, accompanied by mojo sauce).
Icod de los Vinos is only 15 minutes away by car: a handsome, small town, where the Island atmosphere has not altogether disappeared and where tourism has been kept within bounds. Icod has a long tradition of wine-making. Its inhabitants have lived from producing wine for several centuries, so it is no surprise that there are numerous Bodegas that offer the wine grown on the fertile slopes of the Orotava Valley.
The town's greatest attraction is the Drago Milenario, an impressive Dragon tree that is among the very oldest of its kind on Tenerife. The legend recounts that it was worshipped as a holy tree by the Guanches, the Island's aboriginal inhabitants. Above the Dragon tree which stands in a fenced-off plot, a Botanical Garden has been constructed, also well worth a visit. Historical buildings, lordly mansions and churches from the 17th and 18th centuries reward a leisurely stroll through the town centre.
Icod's beach, Playa San Marcos. can be reached in 15 minutes in the car. This attractive black-sand beach lies at the innermost end of a tranquil bay, with fishing boats and a few restaurants. It is particularly popular with the locals.

Casa La Romerita is located directly at a steep slope. From the terrace (30 squaremetres) you can enjoy amazing views over the see and mount 'El Teide'.
It was built in old typical canarian style and renovated tastefully. The interior is stamped by the pitched roofs that are decorated with dark wood and the floor with beautiful flagstones.
The cottage has a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room and a bathroom with shower. In front of the house there is a terrace that can be used as a carport as well. The gate to the property is electric.
The cottage also disposes of Sat-TV.
The area of "El Rincon", where the cottage is situated, is one of the most popular places on Tenerife, where to spend your rural holidays.

Einen traumhaften Blick auf den Atlantik und die Costa Adeje hat man von diesem neuen Ferienhaus "Casa Caroline". Man sieht fast von Los Cristianos bis nach Los Gigantes. Darüber hinaus sieht man direkt vor sich die Insel La Gomera im Atlantik liegen. Das Ferienhaus liegt nur unweit des Kleinstadt "Adeje", in ruhiger Umgebung, im sonnigen Südwesten von Teneriffa auf ca. 300 Höhenmeter auf einem herrlich gelegenen Gartengrundstück. Von außen wurde es mit Natursteinen verkleidet; innen wurden Stoffe und Einrichtungsgegenstände farblich harmonisch aufeinander abgestimmt.

Von hier aus sind es ca. 25 Autominuten bis zum Flughafen und ca. 12 Minuten bis zu den Badestränden bzw. den Haupt-Touristenorten Playa de las Americas und Los Cristianos. In ca. 5 Minuten erreicht man große Supermärkte. Ein Auto ist hier erforderlich.
Das erst in 2003 errichtete Haus verfügt über ein großes Wohnzimmer, eine Küche, ein Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer mit Dusche. Im Schlafzimmer steht ein Doppelbett (180 x 200 cm). Die Küche ist mit allen wichtigen Küchenutensilien ausgestattet, z.B. 4-Flammen-Herd, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Waschmaschine, Mikrowelle, usw. Im Wohnzimmer steht ein Fernsehgerät mit Satellitenantenne zum Empfang fast aller deutschen Radio- und Fernsehprogramme in digitaler Qualität. Insgesamt beträgt die Wohnfläche rund 70 m². Bettwäsche, Hand-, Bade- und Geschirrtücher sind ausreichend vorhanden.
Im Haus selbst ist das Rauchen nicht erwünscht, außerhalb auf den Terrassen und im Garten ist es selbstverständlich kein Problem.

Das kleine Dorf "El Salto" liegt oberhalb von El Medano auf etwa 300 Meter über dem Meer und ist ein typisches kanarisches Dorf im Süden von Teneriffa. Es ist umgeben von einer grandiosen Natur und bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den Atlantik. Die Umgebung ist geprägt vom Wein-, Gemüse- und Kartoffelanbau. Hier hat man das Gefühl, dass die Zeit auf angenehme Weise stehen geblieben ist, denn von Hektik, Stress, Lärm und Hotel- bzw. Apartmenthochhäusern ist hier nichts zu spüren. Stattdessen gibt es hier Natur, Ruhe und Erholung von der ersten Sekunde an.
Das gesamte Grundstück ist ca. 1.000 qm groß. Rund um das Haus wurde ein schöner Garten angelegt. Im Außenbereich befindet sich ein Swimmingpool in Nierenform, der sich mit Solarenergie beheizen lässt. So kann der Pool auch an Tagen mit weniger Sonne genutzt werden. Es gibt mehrere Sonnenterrassen, auf denen sich Gartenmöbel und Sonnenliegen befinden. Aber auch schattige Plätze lassen sich finden. Und wer es sportlich mag, kann Tischtennis spielen. Oder er bedient den Holzkohlegrill. Garten und Terrassen sind uneinsehbar und laden zum ungestörten Sonnenbaden ein.
Es ist ausreichend Bettwäsche vorhanden, sodass wöchentlich die Wäsche gewechselt werden kann. Ebenso liegen genügend Geschirr-, Hand- und Badetücher bereit. Strandlaken bitte mitbringen.
Im Wohnzimmer gibt es einen offenen Kamin und ein Fernsehgerät mit Satellitenantenne, sodass fast alle deutsche Radio- und Fernsehprogramme in digitaler Qualität empfangen werden können. Darüber hinaus stehen ein Telefon und Faxgerät zur Verfügung. Hier kann auch ein Notebook angeschlossen werden, wenn es ein analoges Modem hat. Den Gästen steht in einem separaten Raum eine Waschmaschine und ein Bügelbrett mit Bügeleisen zur Verfügung.
Das Ferienhaus "Finca Rosa" bietet auf 2 Ebenen insgesamt 3 Schlafzimmer, 1 Wohnzimmer, 1 Essbereich, 1 Küche, 3 Bäder und einen überdachten Patio. Ein Schlafzimmer hat ein großes Doppelbett (180 x 200 cm), im 2. Schlafzimmer stehen 2 Einzelbetten (je 90 x 190 cm) nebeneinander. Das 3. Schlafzimmer hat zwei Einzelbetten und zusätzlich ein franz. Bett, sodass hier 3 Personen schlafen können. Die Küche ist komfortabel und mit allen notwendigen Utensilien und Geräten ausgestattet, wie z. B. mit Geschirrspülmaschine, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Mikrowelle, elektrische Saftpresse usw. Die Badezimmer sind geräumig und modern eingerichtet. Zur Terrasse hin gibt es einen überdachten Patio, gemütlich eingerichtet, und mit einem tollen Blick auf das Meer.
Die Entfernungen betragen zum Flughafen Teneriffa-Süd ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Trotz der relativen Nähe gibt es hier absolut keinen Fluglärm. Bis zu den Stränden von El Médano braucht man ebenfalls ca. 15 Minuten. Und wer sich mal in den Trubel von Playa de las Americas stürzen will, der benötigt etwa 20 Minuten. Landestypische, einfache Restaurants und Bars sowie kleinere Supermärkte sind am Ort. Größere Supermärkte und viele Geschäfte aller Art, Bäcker, Metzger, Apotheken, Tankstelle usw. findet man in der nächst größeren Stadt "San Isidro", ca. 6 km entfernt. Hier gibt es gleich mehrere sehr gute Restaurants, die die kanarische Küche mit Fleisch- und Fischspezialitäten anbieten.
